A new grain originally belongs to the South America is unknown to us and Why is it regarded as so nutritious? Actually, quinoa is not regarded as a plant but it is a plant, used like any other grain. Quinoa is definitely the grain that I am most comfortable with and cook with most often. It is so versatile and I’ve found myself using this grain as a base for salads, adding it to stir fry and even Dalia (porridge)! Just perfect for the morning breakfast.

This super food grain is gluten-free and is a great source of iron, vitamin B-6 and magnesium. It is also considered one of the few plant-based complete proteins, and the ratio of protein to carbohydrate is impressive for a grain!

It’s beneficial for the heart as it contains monounsaturated fatty acids, most of it is alpha-linolenic acids. The omega 3 fatty acid contained in plants, it is also found in some other seeds like flax seeds, chia seeds. Quinoa, unlike other whole-grains, are completely gluten-free. So the quinoa health benefits can never be ignored.
